Market Unrest
In 2 Timothy 1, the apostle Paul writes about the glories of the Gospel and its promises. In verse 12 he said that he had suffered for the Gospel’s sake. “Nevertheless I am not ashamed,” he continued, “for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.” The world has again entered a time of economic flux. The Bible has a great deal to say about the future, but it does not say how global stock markets will do next week. President Trump has promised that his policies will “make America rich again,” while his political opponents believe the Trump tariffs will lead to inflation and perhaps even a global depression. I expect the trade wars to work themselves out sooner rather than later. But that’s only a guess and could be wrong. God alone knows the future.
